And just like that winter is drawing to an end. This is the last in the Winter Drag Wars series for 2014 so come have a play. Spring is on the way which means we’ll be racing at night and in the heat soon enough but for now, one more blat in the cool cool air. (Note Night Speed Drag Wars kicks off on Friday 31st October).

Grudge racing will run throughout the day for all racers knocked out of racing.

Run what ya brung! Remember these events are for Street Legal vehicles only so your vehicle needs to be WOFd and REGO’d. You must have a helmet and a minimum Restricted License for a car driver. For Motorbikes, if you have a Learner or Restricted license then your bike must be on the LAMS-approved (http://www.nzta.govt.nz/licence/getting ... s-list.pdf) motorbikes list. Ensure your battery is securely fastened/tied down and if you have a rotary vehicle that you have a scatter blanket / shield. Lastly, you can run street tyres or D.O.T approved street legal drag tyres only but any other race slick is strictly prohibited.
