IBC not controlling boost

Postby GT4PWA » Wed Dec 07, 2005 2:58 pm

My Gizzmo IBC is suppose to be cutting the boost out at 10psi but its letting it go higher until the boost cut kicks in at about 11psi.

Its beginning to get rather annoying have you guys got any ideas on what could be causing the problem?

And does anyone know these and could take a look?

The GIZZMO IBC doesn't cut boost at any pressure. All it does is control a solenoid to the a duty cycle you set it to. There is no feedback loop - it doesn't care if its running 10psi or 20, its just doing the simple job its asked to do.

I'm positive, I sell the things.

All it is - and since you have one, you should be familiar with how to work it - is a device which can have a number of settings for pulsing a solenoid.

Yet, it acts as a boost gauge, but it doesn't monitor the boost level as such. Try playing with the duty cycle, and seeing if the problem is still there.
