Josh, regarding the cruise down, we envisage having cars lined up on the dummy grid by 9-9.30am, as racing cannot commence before 9am due to resource consent. as the cars will be scrutineered on friday night, then entrants merely need to arrive at Levels and do skids.

you may want to adjust your leaving time accordingly?

Which way? 8am was for meeting here in chch. By the time people get gas and the slackers show up it'll be about 8.30 and its about 1.5hrs so get there about 10 for a good days entertainment. Any earlier and people wont have had any sleep or wont show up.

Just curious what you need for it too. Just overalls and a helmet or are we requiring fire extinguisher etc?

And do the helmets have to meet standards as mine kinda got painted

Hey Crispy dude... Not to sound like a prat or anything, but in regard to hemets there are lots more 'current' standards (as opposed to just E standards)

he're's a link to the motorsport manual:

http://motorsport.org.nz/Pdf/M33%20App2%20SchA.pdf

helmets - pg 124

there's also a section on extinguishers and mountings on pg 130

Thought i'd bump this to the top so people don't forget, only 7 weeks away.

I need to get my front struts back together then sort out a few rust patches so this serves as bit of kick for me to get things sorted.

How are others progressing?

starlet brakes bled, new front U/J on driveshaft, and driveshaft installed.
just need to sort front springs, paint hatch and bonnet, exhaust etc......piece of cake, but the stand-in Clubsport secretary isn't aware that she is driving it :!:
Levin....V6 and g/box still in commodore, Matt still has my 15"s (possibly on active sport saloons duty), springs and driveshaft.........not so easy, but do-able 8)
sprinter is still a bare shell, needs a few hours spent on it, but isn't being ruled out just yet

so what is everyone elses excuse?? cars listed above arn't even being prepared for me. unless the numbers are down and there are few spots left i won't be entering, but there seems to be a bit of pressure on Toyota to enter a SI drift events, so even though it will be a mongrel, i'd like it to be ready.....just in case

hmmm progress....

kp is on axle stands, waiting for new bolts to bolt a new clutch (currently on order with Revhead) to flywheel.... then, bolt up gearbox, then finish fixing rust on underside of trans tunnel, then jack engine into place with engine crossmember attatched. Then find all the wires with no plugs, the likely chance of missing cooling pipes, try to plumb / wire in the 4k..... my first first project.....so double, if not triple the normal required time to do so  its still panel-less, door-less, etc etc, so i'm not sure i'll make it for 2nd december.....as a competitor, should be there spectating tho

progress.................

: '86 has no engine in it so may not have an engine built for it.
Fxgt: All race ready just want to try the extra rear sway bar to see if handling's been improved, no authority card for it yet so may have to trailer it down. Improve the dizzy or change it as it's got a mongrel of a flat spot on pickup in between gears

now taking donations for the "Crispy's racing fund"

ps. got a few 4age bits for sale at moment, so help me out guys,
