Any one know any thing about this AE85 on trademe?

Hey, I've noticed this car on trademe and am quite interested in it.

In one of the previous auctions some one said the rear quater had been in an accident or some thing and it had a new one welded on.

Does any one know about the car, or any thing to look out for on the car.

Last but not least what would a reasonable price be for it?

That AE85 has been on trademe since forever, he wants WAY too much, firstly he wanted 5700, then he realised nobody wanted it so he bumped it up to 6700, one of the auctions someone asked "If you're trying to sell the car, and it doesn't sell, why are you raising the price", then his reply was "Coz i got offered that much"
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

I figured that it's not going to sell any time soon, so if I make an offer and just leave it with him till he gets desperate.

I thought probably about $5000 - $5500 would be fair, but if it's had the rear quaters mucked around with and stuff I'm just not too sure. :?

I'll have to have a good look at it first I suppose.

oh i used to own this car about a year ago.. seems to have changed a few hands.. probably cause its shit.. well its definatly not worth what he is asking. if you want you can pm me and i can tell you a thing or two about it as i know lots of tihngs about the body espeically.

Some people.... how can you expect to sell something with dumb answers like that!, at least be honest if your not sure, or answer best you can politely.

i sold this about a year ago for under 4grand (which is about what its worth)..i think he must have bought it for lots from the guy i sold it to.. so now he thinks he can sell it for even more.. but actually he just got taken up the arse.. which he deserves..
