Offroad Racing... National Finals this weekend!

Postby RedMist » Tue Oct 21, 2008 12:55 pm

For those of you who want serious action during labour weekend. The National Finals offer serious car bending fun. It's only $10 at the gate for either day (short course 25th, enduro 26th).

I'm draging my massive red Jimco (118) up from Christchurch to show the Aucklanders what real power is all about. (It's short course first so I'm going to get my arse spanked by the lighter weight buggies.)
If you are there please ensure you pull by the pits and give me a nudge. (that is if I'm not knee deep in bits of offroader)

Currently running second in the Championship I'm 50 points clear of my next compeditor. However being a double points round I'll have to fight to keep my advantage.

For those of you that can't drag yourself from the keyboard / TV there is scheduled TV coverage for later in the year. Still you'll miss the smell of burnt av gas and the taste of dirt.

Prices Rd, just off Puhinui Rd near the airport - you don't have to go past the Bombay Hills fellow jaffa's!

Daniel - whats the best time to track you down if I'm not working? Is it practise on sat and racing on sunday?
I'm on call, so who knows if I'll have to work or not?
If I'm working I'll wave as I fly over!

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

Ken, was great seeing you out on Saturday. Sorry for the frantic activity around the car and the lack of personal time to describe the car and what was happening on the course.

It all worked out in the end..... I'm now the 2008 Off Road National Champion!

Congrats on championship!
Awesome!

Glenn (ezy10s) and I had a really good day. Lots to look at in the pits and great action on the track.
I know exactly what it is like on a raceday so no worries about not spending much time talking to us.

What address is best for me to send video and pics of saturday?
