Caldina GTT Driveshaft bushing gone?
This is a pic underneath the caldina, looking at one of the driveshaft support mounts. Has the mount gone? (looks like its not centered) or are they always like this?

Re: Coolant leak Caldina GTT
Im thinking it may be easier to replace the car at this point lol
My Ac system hasn't worked for ages, Can i delete the system and remove the pump? May be able to get to it if I do this. I would probably need a different belt for the alternator though

Re: Coolant leak Caldina GTT
Okkkkk so I replaced the HFHOE, not the worst job i ever done. Still bloody leaks!
So i had a mess around with a USB endoscope camera I have, and discovered a pinhole in one of the freeze plugs under the hose.
That looks like an arse to replace? I dunno how i can even get to it?

Appears to be coming from somewhere underneath the thermostat housing. Its not the housing though, i was wondering if its the little black hose underneath? I cant even get a mirror inside to see it.

Re: Rate my spark plugs...
Hmmm its been bugging me for ages now, I have checked the resistance on all the coil packs and they seem to be consistent. Seems to be getting manifold pressure from the boost gauge reading (although Im unsure if its getting up to pressure as quickly as before, hard to tell from looking at a gauge ...

From Caldina GTT thats not been boosting like it should for a while now. Keep meaning to get to the bottom of it.
Pressure gauge reads normal boost pressure, but it smells a lot of unburnt fuel so im wondering if its rich?
seems a fair bit of carbon on the plugs?

Re: Caldina GTT not boosting properly
Managed to get Torque app working with the data port now, haven't managed to put it into test mode but took it for a drive whilst logging sensors etc.
Timing whilst at idle was 14 degrees at 1035 RPM whilst idling warm. Not sure if this is any help, will try get a reading when its in test mode

Re: Caldina GTT not boosting properly
Looks like it hasn't slipped a tooth on the camshafts, both look to be in the same position.
Will try and get hold of a timing light and check this week.
The exhaust smells a little of fuel as I mentioned before, wondering with the carbon deposits I saw on the plugs it could be rich?
Would there ...

Re: Caldina GTT not boosting properly
I pulled the plugs today whilst I was changing the rocker cover gasket, they had a fair amount of carbon on them, looks like a rich condition but I'm still not convinced it wasn't from the oil leaking past the threads as the plug wells were full of the stuff pre gasket refresh. Gave em a clean up ...
