Re: ae101

You'd have to lift the body up a fair way to clear the top of the engine etc, you can do it this way but unless you have access to a car hoist to lift the whole car off the ground then lifting engine etc out the top would be by far the safest/easiest method

Re: Rattle guns on trademe

If you've got an air compressor at home then it'd be ok to buy a cheap rattle gun. Trouble is as you say that when you're at the track then unless you lug an airline round, a battery impact driver would be better. My Ripco air rattle gun cost me $200 which is reasonable for most things at home but ...

Re: A60 struts into KE70

I would keep your factory LCA's (or go KE30 for a little extra length) and get these, otherwise you could end up with interesting ackerman angles as steering arm length isn't the only important measurement -

Re: A60 struts into KE70

The steering knuckles are the key here, like the ones revhead showed that will give the desired offset for the strut mount and the balljoint. I did look intot his with my ae86 and it'd need to use T3 or a similar designed spacer to give the negative camber.

Haven't got a car that's suitable for the track - at the moment, one I'd be happy to bolt an extinguisher in at least . Wouldn't be this side of the halfway stage of this year anyway

Best freight place to send to dargaville

Couldn't see an easy accessible driveway to go to the building. I'll have to ring around tomorrow but does anyone definitely know ...

The hellasunk look was popular 10+ years ago, think about the corolla's etc that were sporting them. I could be wrong but my trueno when the old owner had it did exactly this. Looked really weird and there were more than a handful of cars that were like that. Series 1 and 2 Rx7's, pretty much ...

fitted the brackets for the distributor, put the front wheels on, topped up radiator to find I have a leak from the water pump. That'll teach me to do things in a rush. Least I could move it in the driveway.
