I think that he could make up the engine mounts but photos would be helpful to show how it all fits.
Did you use a T50?
Have you made any changes to the brakes yet? If so what fits?
Also what needs to be done to the drive ...

anyone have any idea what torque the head bolts should be done up to?
i can't find shite on the net :?

read on one site that ya do em up sequentially first pass at 30ft-lb then 50 then 65. run the engine to operating temp then leave to cool(8-24hrs) then retorque it to 65ft-lb

Sound right?

i had the same prob in my mr2, but only when it got right down to empty, had to get pliers to get it off, kinda embarrassing! i found that it was only when i hadnt put in gas for ages and let it go right down

i recently blew the head gasket on my fiat. NOT COOL!

i got her towed home to wanganui and ripped it all down. i am pretty much positive that it was the gasket so i am ordering a new one(have to regardless)
now it is an aluminium head on it and i dont know what i have to do to it before i bolt ...

yeah i had a 3t in the 26, but what is the point? costs too much to get anything decent out of an old shitty motor like that.

there is a reason that not many people stick with n/a.... i think it is boost

he'd wanna start with a solid base with lots of room for improvement, things start out ...

alright kids, dont get ya knickers in a twist

as far as all the mounts and engineering he can do that and probably has hook ups for getting stuff cheaper. so i suppose it may be viable, but i think that the engine and gearbox and other parts may add up, but that happens with any conversion ...

Hi my brother is looking at doing an engine conversion in his ke30.
My mate had a 1600 mazda turb engine(out of bmfr) that he was gonna try and fit because he could get the engine cheap and it would be something a bit different, however he sold it a couple of days ago...

So now he needs another ...

Actually Two Litre i live in wellington now and i must have forgotten to change my location...

hell if i was still at my flat in auckland it would be sweet, i had a garage under my house that could fit 8 cars, so i would have probably had it sorted by now.

the rebuild kits aren't too expensive.

is that for a toyota or a 73 fiat? they probably are for fiat kits.

i will pull it all apart this weekend if i get a chance to go home and investigate.

i know that it is not a toyota so i may not be able to get any help on this but thought that i would try anyway.

my car just failed a wof on the front disk brakes. the right one is heaps stronger than the left (140 vs 240? dunno what those figures mean if they help) and therefore it noticeably ...
