went for a cruise today in my mates van an we hit a pothole

when im in a car with 18s.... potholes are lethal

took it to mechanic, he scratched his head, took sump off to have a look, its all mint so he took gearbox off to have a look....

its shared off one of the dowels on the pressure plate.. wich in turn rooted my 3 month old h/d clutch

bnt will replace the clutch... with a std one ...

Pull the dipstick, check the oil level, and report back.........

still heaps of oil, and water, and it doesnt look as tho the two have mixed. strangly enough it was one of the only 20vs i know that didnt chew oil

hmm.. well today we had a proper look.

cam timing is stil aok, as is cambelt.
starter is engaging / disengaging ok
pulled sparkplugs and lookd down the hole - all pistons are were they should be - its at tdc and outside 2 were at the top and inside 2 were down and there was no "odd looking ...

well today i went to go to work, hoped in car (ae11 corolla gt - it was warm had been out like 5 mins b4) started it and it made this really "neat" noise.

it went..

Rumble Rumble Whip Whip lots of rattly noise, thump and stopped

it almost sounded like my exhaust sheild had broked ...

fold if its 2ply or more, scrunch if its cheap!! single ply slides over if folded!

sittin at work today, swearing at myself for stuffin stuff up i came up wtih three theories as to why i was stuffing up such simple tasks. it was really annoying me, as im usually quite switched on when it comes to technical things.
