on my SW20 with targa top, sometimes the area where the glass seal is can rust as it's always exposed. The spare tyre bay at the front, under the plastic moulded shell of the spare tyre.

go ta pick a part and get an ignition barrel with key for cheap, install the new barrel, copy the key 2 times so next time you unfortunate enough to have it happen again, you gotta spare. put the spares somewhere safe.

hi, part own a 93 levin with silvertop ae101 20v engine. in the last months, the rev started bouncing up and down like rev hunting while idling. It only seems to do it when the engine is running at its normal operating temperature when car's running but sitting there in traffic or at the lights ...

dont have the equipment and knowledge or space or time. if i had all that, sure. i can change filters and that sorta stuff but when it comes to headgaskets, it's bit over complicated. working in retail and coming close to christmas, i am rostered for crazy hrs. dont have another car to use either.

i've used neutech stuff from repco. sand the surface around the hole from underneath and then get the neutech, spread it around the hole from under and push some up through the hole. from the top, get a plastic scraper and level it out and let it harden, then use 800 and 1200 grit wetndry sandpaper ...

it was running sweet in the first few weeks then bamn, the temp guage went hay wire. havent done any mods or hard driving yet as it's my daily driver till i get skyline sorted so cant really afford to thrash it around.

live in karori, work in the hutt, would cost me $15 bucks a day to get to n back from work. and it's a two process trip. can't really afford to take public transport, have to get to work by 8am. working crazy hours around christmas, so car is only sensible option. unless i can sell my car for 2 and ...

thanks for all the helpful advises, i will try all diff options. can't realy not drive the car as that's my daily driver and short on cash to just buy another car unfortunately. my skyline is banged up as well which i am working on.
