Well after buying his car we drove it to auckland (from wellington) in the middle of the night ..

was a loose drive .. i tell you

lucky to make it really .. one bolt in the starter motor .. driveshaft bolts loose ... lower strut bolts loose .. etc etc

We ralled its arse off for a season ...

Join Hibiscus its a great club ..

then do the fortron rally series ..

best value skids you can get !

(its mainly on gravel tho .. so no pussies)

Should scare the pants off most drift pilots !

Our 86 rally car has a flexi joint ..

yesterday in maramarua many people had their headers or exhaust ripped apart by chicken sized rocks on the track ..

ours survived ..

it gives the system more flexibilty to absorb the knocks of which there are many for a rally car ..

reccomended ...

So are you saying that rear strut bracing does nothing or that particular one does nothing .. what about the red car with the welded pipe between the rear struts .. is that effective ? ..

I was up country in the hinterland (pouto) ..

tightening the battery clamp ... somehow I managed to bridge that gap .. ?!

it blew a 6inch by 3 inch junk of the battery and a lot of battery acid all over the show ...

manage to fix plastic case refilled with the acid and it went sweet ...

Ke70 is leaf sprung and shocks rear ..

AE86/85 is coil springs an shocks ..

Having owned both and used both on seal and gravel ...

IMHO ... they are pretty similar ... GREAT !

The natural balance and steering that works well makes them very forgiving .. as long as they still have ...

I have fitted them many times ... same as normal ...

I wont buy em again though ..
seem weak and easy to twist around to unlock / steal your car ...

get some late model toyota locks ...the ones with really thick keys ..

maybe '90 onwards

I think that they offer more security
