Its suprising how many people haven’t been up to Cape Reinga…….the final 20kms is brand new and stunning. But from Awanui just north of Kaitaia all the way up is really amazing scenery, good road (no trucks to ruin it) and bugger all tourist buses.

All I second Napier to Gisborne and then the ...

Hi Barry, so this stuff has "easy peel" self adhesive backing ala double sided tape? Looks like it would work a treat on my R32.

Thanks

I dont really like HD, the "dipper" is a dissapointment and turn 1 can be a car killer. Lots of wear on brakes and tires too as your braking often compared to Puke or Taupo.

The final corner and run up the hill are fun but Puke has more excitement due to the higher speeds on straight and corners.

If its gonna mean 30% more fuel consumption it needs to be at least 30% cheaper at the pump to sell it to most "normal" people

Australia is a very competitive and "intelligent" market. Over there petrol sells for around 15c per litre cheaper between Tuesday and Thursday so they sell the same ...

Im always one for more HP but when its gonna mean the possibility of an upgraded fuel system to take advantage of it and i'll lose fuel economy it just doesnt appeal anymore.

If I was drag racing or dyno racing I would use it tho.

The Japanese Dig Spice unit is good. It will connect via GPS and record, speed, your line around the track as well as braking and gear changes.

Very very smart. $600 from ST Hitec but you need a lap top to download and view your data once you pit in.

We had a great laugh loading my data and ...

Cant really compare a “cheap quality” Caldina with a “Lexus” can you? Depends what you want it for. Both can be made to go very quickly. Aristo (JZS161) will indeed do 270-280kph in mild tune. Change intercooler, fuel pump, ECU and add boost controller for 280-290rwkws.

Expensive to modify but ...

Soichi can re-flash the stock ECU on those R35's now. Its so easy to mod them - was only a matter of time before the aftermarket cracked Nissan's flagship

Not sure why you wouldnt encourage motorsport tires being used at any track day. Often the first comment a newbie makes is "gawd road tires are sh1t"

Sure it adds expense having to take a spar set or road wheels or trailer the car but my lord why flounder on skiddy road rubber when you can be ...

Great effort Robin, I bet your stoked az!! Big crowd down there? I couldnt make it, installed a boost controller but getting detonation on 1.0 bar. Will need to get the car re-tuned before I can hammer her!! Frustrating but boost does come in alot faster on the secondary so it feels good. Are you ...

Hampton has only 1 really fast corner whereas Taupo (full track) has 2. Manfield is prob best for high HP cars with the camber on most turns. HD when finished will still be tight with a series of corners much like Taupo's infield.

South Island rules for high speed me thinks.......

Dunno why HD ...
