Re: KZN185 Anchor Bolts
sounds like you got some decent value there. well done. My mate has one (non intercooled) with similar km to yours, and with a 3" down pipe and exhaust, at 10psi boost it is faster than my 2.7 ETI intercooled Mistral at 14-15psi (but with stock exhaust system).

Re: KZN185 Anchor Bolts
havent they got two loops set in the floor near the rear of the cargo area?
they are a great wagon, did you get intercooled? They are still pretty expensive, haven't come down in price at all in the last six years, despite racking up the mileage.
contact me if you need a 3 inch down pipe to get ...

KZN185 Anchor Bolts
Hey guys.
So i'm finally back (kinda) in camp Toyota!
Sold my Subaru last week and picked up a KZN185 Hilux Surf today. Using it as a weekend toy and to tow my Jetski.
Anywho, I need to put an anchor bolt/tether in the back for my sons car seat. Can't see anywhere obvious in there, anyone done ...

Got them from Tyroola, pretty sure they came from Australia so looks like NZ stock must be non existent!

Re: Toyo Tyres
10000km in 5 years! Shit, I currently do about 3 times that much a year
although hoping to change that.
Wearing doesn't seem to be an issue, even needing a wheel alignment the tyres are wearing fine.
I think i'll be happy with either F1 or RE003, I guess whatever is the cheapest at the time

Re: Toyo Tyres
I had the T1Rs on the front for about 10000km before I rotated to the rear, and have seen little wear. Was hoping to get a matching set but I guess not haha.
RE003 is definately an option, had them on my Glanza V and they were good. Would wait until the buy one get one half price.
F1s in that size ...

Re: Toyo Tyres
That shows that 195/45/16 doesn't exist anymore
195/50/16 is there, so maybe just out of stock on that size.
I did also email Toyo about 6 weeks ago but never got a response.

Toyo Tyres
Almost time for another pair of tyres on the Mazda2. I had put a pair of T1Rs on about 6 months ago (195/45/16) but they seem to have disappeared. So was thinking of going to 195/50/16, but once again stocks seem to have disappeared.

Re: What did you do to your car today?
Changed the spark plugs and gearbox oil in the Mazda. Such a joy working on a simple motor and manual gearbox
Also getting around 6.5l/100km without even trying which is awesome on the wallet.

Re: What did you do to your car today?
Nice colour. We had one of these as a work car. It was auto but I liked it more than the new ones we have. For a little econobox they are too bad.
The sports version has a bit stiffer suspension I think which would make them a bit better as a drivers car.

Re: What did you do to your car today?
Ended up buying another car Mazda 2 sport in manual. Really good fun and great on gas! Only got it as was offered it from a friend for a crazy price.
So today I changed the oil and filter, replaced the cabin filter as it was ridiculously dirty, and ordered a pair of T1Rs for the front.

Re: Tyre longevity
Let us know how they go! My mate tried to sell me Hankooks but we found very little in the way of reviews for them.
Will do!
I've had 2 sets of Dynapro All Terrains, my mum has some new Kinergy ecos and my wife has a pair of K415 Optimo, and so far have proved to be pretty good range of tyres ...

Re: Tyre longevity
I couldn't quite stretch my wallet to get some F1s or RE003s so I ended up getting some Hankook Kinergy GTs (H436). I've had a great run with Hankook in the past, so fingers crossed. I got them for just under $150 each fitted at my work which was great!

Fill your boots mate!
Also the Eagle F1 comes in the Directional 5 (cheap) and Asymmetric 3 (not cheap!), the directionals are the ones Ken is talking about. I still rate the RE003s, shame Hyper don't do Bridgestone! I really can't ...
