Got my new MIG welder all setup today, haven't done too much welding with it yet but very happy with it so far.
Stripped off the sound deadening from the firewall and drive tunnel and prepped the new tunnel to go in.

Provided you cant see any cords or canvas etc, I would run it. in the even that it was to blow out, might pay to have it on the rear.

Re: Why's my PCV Valve like this?

it would have been an attempt to lower the air velocity to reduce the amount of oil carried over to the oil catch can.

Re: Rust repair ae86

Most of that stuff doesn't seem to bad to get to as your going to have to cut it out.

some of the bits that are harder to get too (second to last pic I think) you might have to tidy up as best you can and then rust convert it...depending on how bad it is.

Have fun though mate...car cancer...gotta ...

Fitted the engine back into the car and my newly modified gearbox which has brought my shifter 156mm forward...looks like it should be workable now.

also it helped sort out issues with the gearbox cross member,

Will have to re-check my driveshaft working angles again tomorrow.

Changed the crank angle sensor on a workmates 2002 Primera....yeah that was gay.

Learnt why I went heavy diesel instead of petrol, an anorexic woman would have trouble getting their arm in there.

You just need to know how to be a contortionist

I normally leave that sort of thing to my wife...

Slow, as always it comes down to money, plus I've been fairly busy...2 kids, new job, renovating the house....the list goes on.

if the new shifter position is all good, I will be welding up the tunnel soon.
