Mine was hit by a bus while parked and written off last week. I'm buying it back off the insurance company.
Will part it out if any one wants anything.

Re: Toyota Blade V6.
Well on a blade you don't have to remove the fans or disconnect the radiator hoses. Just be careful of the electrical connector plastic when you're extracting and reinstalling. It appears to be made of milk based plastic and super easy to break.

Got a Denso refurb from rockauto.com for $210 usd in 5 days. I can return the core for $80 usd - probably cost me that to send back.

Picked one of these up, noticed when inspecting the car it had paddling pool for a spare wheel well. Noticed these cars (more commonly under the Auris badge) have well documented problem of leaking around the tail lights and/or the rear body vents.

Just pop it out using the brake circuit?
Or grease gun, bit of tidy up after but it's not the worst job I've ever done.

Something jammed in the end of the hose to block it off.
*sorry you say wire but that looks like a vacuum hose in the pics.
Definitely a wire??
Either way it's doing the same job.

Re: 4AGE turbo fail
I highly doubt your lack of cooling lines would be at play here.
I will let more experienced people comment on your oil supply issue, but you might want to give detail of the turbo as I'm sure there's specifics for different types when it comes to oil supply.
If I did have to wager a thought you've ...

If water hasn't gotten into places it shouldn't then I don't see why not.

Redtop Bigport.
Why do you want the ignition from the mr2?
It's just a distributor and coil. Only AE92 & AE101 had the CAS & coil pack arrangement.
My old mr2 when bought (stock as a rock)

Re: AE101 odometer not reading
I've pulled apart older ones on diesel vehicles...
The trip meter is usually a slave off the drive to the odometer. it's odd to me that the trip meter is working.
Surprisingly easy to take apart and figure out what's gone wrong. PAP a replacement odo section and swap it out.

Re: Blacktop 7age Noob Questions
I think the cost of making a 7age isn't worth it unless you can really pump some $ into it.
Barry has made it a lot more accessible with great products like the timing gear with correct keyway position.
I think I would rather throw money at a 4AGE/ZE, I enjoyed my 7agte but someone else spent the ...

The way we are going with the house we are pretty happy with any outcome, stay, move, rent or sell. I wouldn't mind getting to a point where the mrs is earning enough and we are comfortable enough for me to do something like buy and renovate houses for a job but that's a pipedream at this stage.

I read that the drop in OCR may only bring down floating rates. We have a bit over 10% equity now as we were the last of the <5% deposit club.

We've just paid our last installment at 6.29% and dropped back to 4.35% fixed for 1 year.
Raised the payment slightly so should be a lot more satisfying seeing the numbers change.
