Custom driveshafts

I need to get a driveshaft made for my AE70, just wondering if anyone's had experience with getting a similar driveshaft made (AE86, KE70 etc) and what it cost? I'll probably need to get an input shaft made unless I can find a 22 spline to suit a t50 for sale.

Re: Decent set of AE86 headers ??

Hey, those headers above that were made by frost were for my car. He does awesome work, however they're not a cheap option. I've heard good things about mac built and I called them about headers for my at before going to Frost.

I've seen the SQ engineering stuff, already got a few parts from him but wondered if it was necessary to use a plate or if I could avoid the $100 of getting one cut, I have the cad design.

1NZ Coils in 20v 4AGE

Hey all,

Just wondering, will I need to run an adapter plate to run 1NZ coils on my silvertop?

Cheers

20v 4AGE into AE70

So I'm in the process of putting a silvertop 4AGE into my 79 AE70 I have the motor and gearbox sitting in place and I'm now looking at my options for headers.

The AE70 has a steering box rather than a rack and I've tried a set of coby extractors which are hitting the steering.

Has anyone ...

I suspect you will be looking at a bit more than $2k. I had a quote for around $3500 for my corolla

It is expensive, but worth it for a brand new car. Means you can just remove it and go back to the factory colour.

I have a mate that could possibly be parting with a KP starlet shell, has recently been painted. Was originally going to be a rotor project so the fire wall has been cut and a tunnel started for the gearbox.

He started converting it to 4AGE so could be a good platform to build on...

It's in ...

My flatmate just purchased a Accord Euro wagon, beautiful to drive in, plenty of power and he got 700+kms on a tank (Around $120 to fill). The interior is very nice and comfortable and the factory stereo is awesome.

Only downside is that the backside is bloody ugly.

Pull over when someone wants to go past you, simple.

Why should you have to pull over though if you're doing the limit? Speed (10%) isn't usually the issue (as you put it) 90% will be down to the following driver being a $&#$%.

Agreed, why the hell would you pull over? Unless you're driving ...

With the welding required for fortune auto, is it definitely certifiable? I heard that certing any suspension that requires welding is near impossible at the moment? Possibly looking for some for my AE70

Not sure if you're doing this for cert purposes, but make sure you're still within cert camber allowances as well. I can't remember what they are exactly but it's fairly tight from what I do remember.

Not as much as you'd think, they were on sale when I ordered them so saved a few hundred. I'll also hopefully be running tyres than can be certed, Falken 195/45/15 on the 8s. I'm just trying to track down the manufacturers specs to see what I can stretch on the 9s and fit under the guards without ...
