The Stil Vodka NZ Drift Series, in association with Toyo Tires hits Pukekohe Park Raceway on Sunday November 23rd for the the Grand Final event! Carl Ruiterman is still heading the points table at 716 series points. He's got a fairly decent lead on the number two spot - Steven Sole, sitting at 550. 'Fanga' Dan Woolhouse currently sits in third place with 463. Full standings can be found on the NZ Drift Site along with driver profiles and previous event reports.
Gates for spectators will open at 9am and cars will be on track just after 9.30am. The Top 16 battles begin after lunch so if it’s cold or wet in the morning, you can still head to Pukekohe in the afternoon to check it out. As always, rain or shine, the Stil Vodka NZ Drift Series will go ahead, but with the stunning weather we've been having lately the latter is hopefully the more likely option.
Pukekohe definately attracts NZ Drift fans from all over, and this year will be no different. Anyone who has been to the NZ Drift Series rounds can tell you the events get bigger and better every time, so get in early to witness some of the best drifting this New Zealand has to offer.
Once again we’ll be bringing along the Stil Series Offical Radar Gun to check entry speeds at Pukekohe. The Stil Promo Girls will be on hand again, wandering through the venue.
For mid-drifting entertainment, we have a huge FMX display featuring Luke Smith of the Crusty Demons.
Finally, don’t forget all drivers and crews are invited to the Stil Vodka NZ Drift Series official after party. These afterparties are held after each of our drifting rounds, and are a good opportunity to meet the drivers, crew, and with the NZPC TV Crew on hand to run the days footage on the bar screens. This years grand final afterparty will be huge, and is scheduled to be held at the Safari Lounge in Ponsonby. Exclusive footage of the day’s drifting will go on screen soon after the party kicks off, plus you'll get the chance to taste some of Stil's fine product as part of the celebrations.
The final series prize-giving will also take place at the afterparty, so you'll get to see the top drivers of the series claim their victory.
