Disc brake machining

Who around Auckland preferably on the North Shore that does disc skimming?
My fronts are really rough, seem to have hard spots, I have heard some people can machine them on car, this would save me the effort of taking them off.

You might want to price replacement discs as well, quite a few are reasonably cheap

I know theyre not hugely different. But theyre like 40 bucks a pair to be machined vs. About 150 for a set od rotors minimum.

theres a few mobile guys.

in most cases you have to remove so much stuff for them to do it on car its really only useful with hubtype rotors on 4wds and such.

What's the car?

Depends on the hookups you can sort, but I got new discs and pads for less than the $150 you say. That was for an ae111 though, so would depend on the car I guess. Discs were sub $100. If its a toyota you could always email our sponsor 8) I got some from MrRevhead years ago too, but don't recall price as it was so long ago.

Last time I machined my discs it's $80 for a pair of front slotted.

Don't use a mobile company called MBM.

cheers.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

For a car like that there's no point getting on car machining. Either take it to a shop or replace the discs. Some mechanics shops have a brake lathe. Some BNT shops do too. I know Henderson does. Failing that try Autostop

Dial a Disc dont service the North Shore, but for the reference it would seem the mobile jobbies are the same sort of price as actually taking it somewhere and im looking at $60 for the two fronts machined.
