Dentist Recommendations

Postby Boosted_162 » Sun Aug 14, 2011 5:33 pm

Just $&#$% broke my front tooth  (well chipped the bottom off, which had been repaired before anyway). Who can recommend a good dentist on the shore that does a great job for a reasonable price? Will also be getting a bit of other work later on, but would like to get this fixed before i go away.

Cheers

i use the dentists at whitecross dental across from glenfield mall, found them very easy to get in to as they have 4 dentists, and realy well priced. and they are 7days with no extra charge on weekends which is good for me because i work all week. ph # 444 5040

Funny enough i had just text my sister to ask about whitecross (she is practice manager there) so she is going to find out about getting it done there (altho not sure if they will do the major work i want done, but that can be after i get back)

Thanks pjay, will keep it in mind. Hot receptionists give the place a +1

Heh, somehow its slightly less painful forking over $$$ to a hottie.

Let me know what you think of the service/prices when you get your work done. I need a serious amount of dental work done, to the point i'm seriously considering a trip over to Thailand/other Asian country early next year to get it done after reading articles like this one

If i've got to get jabbed and drugged and orally abused, at least a nice warm beach to lie on while drooling all over myself should make it a slightly less crappy experience. And if it doesn't there is alway cheap booze and cheap slaves :)

The one thing that puts me off going over seas are the stories.
60 mins / 20/20 did a story on this last week.

My teeth need drilling. already spent thousands here in NZ. :(

I would say shop around. I travel back to Timaru to see my regular dentist who is cheap and pretty good.

Loves his job and doesnt feel he needs to charge the earth(still has enough cash to own a dodge viper)

But I pay around $60 to get a filling about $150 for a root canal.

Got quoted $1200 for a root canal at Excel Dental in Hamilton or $196 to extract it. I went to Greenlane Hospital and got it removed for $40, just got to get there before 7am and be one of the first 20 there.

Had a root canal on a front tooth done for just over $600. Hurt so much I'm never having another done, they can pull them out one at a time when they are stuffed.

I've heard dentist are cheap in Rarotonga.
