Platinum Wheels Dyno Day 2012
The 2012 edition of the Platinum Wheels Dyno Day was held on May 12 at West Auckland’s Torque Performance. The great thing about this venue is that not only do you get an initial “power run” to measure peak power, but they also check your air fuel measure and your boost curve, so you get the answer to ‘how healthy is my car’s tune’.
An impressive crowd turned out to see a total of 17 cars make their way onto the Dyno. It was a great reflection of the local car scene to see such a wide variety of well-built cars come out to prove who has true bragging rights.
A highlight of the day and definitely a crowd puller would have to be Joe Kyle’s R32 GTR Godzilla throwing down a massive 556KW, and only backing off due to having too much road speed for the Dyno!
