Lexus LFA @ North Shore Toyota - June 4th!

Postby l SIC l » Fri May 18, 2012 1:26 pm

Hey boys, I'd like to see the majority of you showing up for this one!

When: June 4th, 2012
Where: North Shore Toyota
Time: 5:30-8:30pm

Here's the extract from the NST Facebook event page:

"Yes you heard it, the Lexus LFA is coming to NZ, and we we North Shore Toyota will have the exclusive supercar here and would like to share the experience with you!

We invite you to share this experience to marvel at one of the best cars to ever come out of Japan with a full carbon fibre body, electronic gauge cluster, 560HP 4.8L V10 masterpiece!

Only 500 Lexus LFAs were ever hand built for the whole world, yet we have managed to secure one for a short period as a display vehicle.

Where - Lexus of North Shore (Next to North Shore Toyota on Link Drive)
Parking - Recommend the carpark across the road (infront of Rebel Sports etc)
When - 5.30PM to 8.30PM / 4th June 2012

Cameras etc welcome, however please notify the staff if you are from any media publication first"

Cheers,
Shaarn

I think Coryn is planning a roadie too so you wont be the only ones going.

I would love to see it in the flesh, but $300 in petrol just aint in the budget at the mo

With a car in pieces and expecting a hefty bill from engine builder it's not really a good idea for me either

Decided screw it, not going to see one of these anytime soon without travelling overseas so why not! And same for Sam.

Pretty stink that the LFA is only going to two Auckland Lexus dealers. Would've been wicked if it went a bit further south. Guess they aren't too keen to have it travel around various towns or are limited by time.

I'll be keen for a meet up and cruise over to have a look now that my car is legal.

I'm in One Tree hill if some people want to meet up at Countdown GreenLane and roll there??

Greenlane is a good meeting spot. Better if people use the Market Rd off-ramp (South and North bound traffic) to access it though - especially on a weekend.

Need to sort this soon!

Update

The showroom will now be open from 4:00pm-7:30pm, not 5:30pm! Feel free to show up from 4pm. So are we going to do a little meet-up prior? Greenlane Macca's would probably be easiest for everyone? I'm out in Hobsonville, so if anyone out West wants to meet and convoy to Greenlane, let me know ASAP :)

As it's a public holiday I'm thinking 3:30pm meet at Westgate and be at Greenlane Macca's by 4:00pm - from there we'll wait 15 minutes and then convoy to NST. So better to be early rather then later.

If the times I just mentioned don't suit, please let me know and we'll work something out to suit everyone. I'll see what the JZX boys want to do also.

Cheers
