3" Dump Pipe St185

i have recently purchase myself a 3" dump pipe for my ST185 and i have no clue how to put one of these in i got told its straight bolt on to the turbo but bolting on to the exhaust system may not be straight bolt on thats what my friends are telling me since the car is factory standard if anyone has or knows how to do it could you please PM me thanks in advance.

If you have a car jack, jack the front of the car up and have a look at the flange connecting the end of the down pipe to the exhaust, if its the same shape and bolt pattern then it should just be a case of removing the bolts on the flange and the turbo end too. Then get new gaskets (from Mr Revhead) or just gasket goo (from Repco or Supercheap).

Might pay to try line it up and see if both ends line up with the standard one, if they don't match you'll have to get a new flange welded onto your standard exhaust.

If you don't have any tools etc then you'd be best to get an exhaust shop to do it for you.

I guess it will be an xspower one. You will find that you will have to remove the turbo off the studs to get it to bolt on. There is not enough clearance between the oil filter and the turbo flange. Gutting the OEM CAT unit is the hardest part. Dam big bulky units. Be prepared to spend a good day on it.

Make sure you check the clearance issues on these units before you put it all back togther.
