hey there thanks for reading my post first of all my names evan and im from napier i have only just moved to welly and would like to get back in the car sceen i dant get my licence back till nov 2 but i would like to meet up with you welly car nuts catch up have a smoke and what not would be good to make new friends while getting back into the scene

If you're interested in getting involved in real motorsport when you've got your licence back, then we can definitely help you out there. But you'll want to stop doing whatever it was that caused you to lose your licence in the first place

haha no no im not a boyracer if that is what your asking im interseted about working on cars highhorse power cars and drifting i lost my licence due to personal problems i made a mistake hey it happens

Yep, it happens. Just saying...

Well, if you're looking for an event to come spectate at, and maybe lend a hand then MMC (Mitsubishi Motor Sport) are running a Sealed Autocross on Saturday afternoon.

If you can get there, then be at Brooklyn Wind Turbine @ 11:30am on Saturday.

Roger (Furpo) here might be able to get you involved in helping out on the day (pm him).

When's your licence back? Once you are back licenced again, there's a crapload of events you can get involved in, either by competing, or being an official.

Probably about 1/4 or more of the people posting in the Welly section are in various motorsport car clubs, and help in some way at running mostly low level events. If you're a pretty level headed sort of a guy (in other words, if you don't act like a dick at events or when you leave events) then I'm sure we can keep you pretty well occupied with car stuff.

What we don't need is somebody who watches an event all day, and then does big wheelies down the road when he leaves, pissing off all the residents and giving us a bad rep You seriously wouldn't believe how often that happens.

Well if you're keen to come along to the Saturday event, I can pick you up on the way through from J'ville. It will mean that you're stuck somewhere down the arse end of Brooklyn about 3km from civilisation until we finish for the day though.
