Labour Weekend Wellington, lots of racing

For those of you not going to mega.

Sunday Port Road street sprints. $80. Clubsport licence needed.
A really exciting and a little scary sprint around the industrial streets. Lots of 90 degree turns and a narrow scary alley. It's great fun.

Monday, Todd Park Motorkhana and Autocross $20. No competition licence required, just helmet and overalls for the Autocross section of the day.

Combined, this make The Clubsport Locals. A challenge where for each of the three events you get points as a % of the fastest cars time from each event.

So, if at Port Road, the fastest car did the event in 60 seconds they'd get 100% or 100 points. If you did it in 120 seconds, you'd get 50% or 50 points.

So, the fast cars pull out an advantage at Port Road, and you bring them back with the smaller cars that do well at the Motorkhana and Autocross :)

So, $100 for the weekend. It'll be awesome, and these events usually throw out a really interesting set of results.

HVMC is running Port Road totally, but are always glad for marshalls. Plus, that's the only way you can spectate and take photo's.

HCCC is providing all people, gear, etc for the Monday events, but HVMC is on the permit as the organising club, and Geoff and I will be doing dual clerk of course roles.

It just works out way easier as far as paper goes if they "permit" all the events. But they'll all be totally stuffed from everything that goes into Port Road, thus we provide everything for Monday.

Plus, it's all in the aid of the general motorsport community thang. Would be very good to have your help on the Monday if you're not competing.

Yeah, anyone from any MSNZ affiliated car club are welcome.

We're working on the regs this weekend, we'll get them distributed via the usual people (Seabright forums, Roger etc).

I'll be there driving something... it may be faster than what I was driving last time, it may be significantly slower.
I'll hope for fine weather, as sitting in the car between runs is boring.

Likewise I'll be there in either a blue car or a red car.

The green car is in dry-dock with a broken tranny. :( Again. Careless, really :(

If anyone is old enough to remember the Thunderbirds, that would be Thunderbirds 1,3 and 2. :)

That's the real British Puppet Thunderbirds as opposed to the imitation American Aerobatic Thunderbirds.
