I've seen your dubious driving talents already Leon. I'm not sure I'd lend you my car for the tarmac let alone the loose.

Besides, it's a well known fact that the faster you go, the smoother it is.
So, just go harder!

You said it yourself - we get over 30 at most of our autocrosses.
It can't be that bad if they keep coming back.

I'll be there and show you how to really run over tyres. You've got to hit them with *both* sides of the car. :D

If you're real good you can see me run over a bank as well. :D

What could be more romantic than a day out sliding around on the paddock?
I have a cage so if anyone wants a ride, bring overalls and helmet. The seat may be uncomfortable for bigger people :)

I think it's about time I get a set of overalls for myself.. rather than just borrow from everyone all the time :)

Anyone got any good suggestions of where to get an average pair for an average price? (Of course 100% cotton, and sealed cuffs preferred)

Deane Apparel, or any commercial uniform type place. If you don't mind sewing elastic or suchlike into the cuffs.

Fitted overalls you're best to head to Road and Track, and get their cotton overalls that look like fireproof race overalls.

Ring me on (06) 953 0610 and I will do a pair of 100% cotton overalls for $33.26 incl. gst. Plus postage of course, but it's a small amount. Can do credit card over the phone if preferred etc.

Ask for Richard.

Car killer indeed! Get a real car!

Incidently would i be allowed to run gravel tires on the front of my datsun down at kapiti?? Won't run them on the back so i don't rip up the course to much but it would be nice to have some semblance of turning without having to set the car up as i leave the start line for the last corner
:)

Harbour Capital Car Club invites you to play in the paddock!

Donnelly Park, Levin.
Left at second set of traffic lights in Levin, then keep on keeping on until the road narrows dramatically, and you see Adkin Ave in your left (also huge Donnelly Park sign). Donnelly park is on the right hand side of Adkin Ave, and you will see us in the paddock past the playing fields.

Required:
Motorsport NZ Car Club Membership
$20
100% cotton overalls (no poly cotton - check the label on the inside)
Correct crash helmet (if you think it's ten years old, leave it at home)
The willingness to chuck your car around a paddock and have a lot of fun.

No rally tires allowed, to respect the venue.

All playing to be done within the confines of the paddock. Absolutely no silly buggers will be tolerated outside the venue. We will call the police, and we will make sure anyone doing anything stupid outside the venue is talking to a member of the law enforcement community. It hasn't happened yet, but it only takes the once for us to lose the venue and the help of the Levin council

The venue is fairly road car friendly, but be prepared for some bumps and bouncing.

Awesome way to learn some car control, and dip your toes in the water. Friendly atmosphere, and drive as fast or as slow as you want.
