Manfeild, Dual Car Sprint January 21st

Right, I've been telling you all about the autocrosses and stuff all year ... here's your chance to kick it up a notch, and go play on a race track.

I'm not going to copy and paste the whole regs, because they're online

Essentially, if you send in an entry form by December 14th it's only $60. If you send in after that, it costs more. Cheques will not be presented until just before the event, so that's not a worry.

What you will need:
Same as Autocross: Helmet, Overalls.
additionally: 0.9kg dry powder extinguisher, belong to a MSNZ car club (HCCC $30 a year), have a Clubsport licence ($55 a year, just an application, not an exam).

So, this is a more serious event in terms of what you need to play. Obviously, this is due to the more serious type of event versus playing in a paddock.

So, if you want to play, here is your advance notice for applying for leave, and getting the funds together to compete in this event.

We limit the numbers to 50, to ensure short queues, and plenty of drive time. We're not in it to make money, so we don't accept 100 entries :). This is generally a pretty fun, low pressure day, and no silly driving is tolerated.

As usual, no drifting. This is a sprint meeting, not a sideways meeting :)

Schweeeettt I love duel car sprints. Let me see how I go with repairs and you may possibly see me in my little starlet there, got MCC sprints on in Dec so if I go/dont blow engine theres a high chance I'll be there with bells on :D

I highly recommend anyone who is keen to go as duel car sprints definately beat clubsport days hands down. A chance to settle grudges once and for all

Couple of days before the event is cutoff ... but honestly, chuck an entry in early (saves like $30) and if you have to pull out, then ring Brian and tell him a week out before the date and he'll just tear up the cheque. The actual dates of everything are in the link in my first post. We're pretty laid back.

If anyone wants to come up and marshall/help, that'd be absolutely beyond awesome. We always need flag marshalls and timekeepers, and we do our very best to make sure you have tons to eat and drink throughout the day.

If you want a particular job, tell me, and I will see if I can get it for you.

Marshalling at a Dual Car is pretty easy ... red flag if they tell you to do so over the radio. Red flag if something crashes big in your zone. Point rescue crew at crashed cars. Eat rolls, drink coke. Get taken for ride in cars.

Nope, we use the Rescue Crew, which is loosely based out of Kapiti car club, for lack of a better description.

I will keep bumping the thread from time to time :)
