can anyone recommend...

Postby Inane » Tue Apr 04, 2006 5:39 pm

can anyone recommend a place in the wellington region who

A) have a good reputation
b) have experience with Caldina GTTs (ideally however its more likely to que a tui billboard)
c) or at least a decent amount experience with 3S-GTEs, esp st202 celica gt4s and late model mr2s

And / Or

A place who do good work with transmissions, specifically custom - maching (or sourcing) torque converters,
and generally strengthening auto boxes

And / Or

somewhere I can get

-Forged pistons, longer stroke crankshaft, metal head gasket, steel connecting rods, bearings, pulleys etc.

if anyone has any suggestions or answers that'd be great.
cheers.

Talk to some of the V8 performance places, they have eons of experiences tweaking slushboxes, so will be able to at least point you in the right direction.
The rest of the bits you can get very easily online ;)

lol... true.. if I was planning on doing it all at once.

this is step one, estimating the cost, (then doubling it)

step two will be to do all the bits one by one that can be done,

step three is to save up to have the major bits done.

Heh yeah I'd recommend BNZ, ASB and Westpac!

Seriously, if you want any aftermarket parts drop me a line - mac@fortyone.co.nz

There's plenty we can offer, JUN, TODA, Tomei, HKS, Greddy and the likes. Any additional work that is needed to be undertaken can then be chosen independantly.
