This one is not being run by me, for the first time in a while... will be the same sort of deal though. Helmet, overalls, $20, 10am. No rally tires, turn up and have a play :)

Being run by Levin Car Club, not by Harbour Capital Car Club this time.

Bah there overrated unless the course designer makes a course where at least one of the corners opens rather than tightens - or you have enough room to actually flick the car between the cones as you enter.
However at kapiti they can be quite usefull for
a) entering the hairpin backwards
and
b) dragging the tyres onto the track to run over next lap and then leave them there for you to pick up

fricken awesome :)

God what a mission cleaning the car afterwards though. Took a loooong time.

Geoff said he got a wheelbarrow full of mud out of the Legacy. I would have taken at least three buckets of mud off the driveway.

Revise expectations slightly upwards ... put it this way, when I left, that van was leading the 4wd class, on bald road tyres.

3S-GTE ??

It looks like it was having a really good time...

Was it a toyota engine or some insane conversion?

It was a Toyota motor ... and you're really close with the 3SGTE guess. Change one letter in that code, and you've got it.
