buy yourself a half decent socket set and a pry bar, a trolley jack and some axel stands.
its pretty much all you need to fix almost anything 4agze and will probly cost you less.

failing that brendon motors taranki street has been good dealing with all my cars, well priced and seem to know 4a engines quite well.

If it is the supercharger, i'd be looking for a new one (2nd hand) now. Not too hard to swap it yourself if you've got some tools.

Why not bring it to my work King Toyota or Warwicks work at Rutherford & Bond. We have mechanics that have worked on nothing but toyotas for 25 years. There aint gunna be many people who know toyotas inside and out more than them.

Labour charge may be more, but chances are they'll spend less time on the job.

You may think differently but you'd be wrong.

Thats a huge call right there fella.

I'd be more inclined to take it to someone who has dealt more often with 4agze's. With all due respect to those who work at dealerships, but i doubt they'd get next to naff all 4agze powered vehicles through there.

I'd give GOLDAE86 a call, but he's away for a wee while shortly

check the charger oil
other possibility is the clutch.
check those first
if its the charger bearings then you need another one. but it doesnt sound like them

Its not a big call at all. I work in the parts dept at King, and deal with the cars they are servicing all day long. We have numerous AE92 & AE101 supercharged Levins/Trueno coming through here. Not to mention that at least 2 of our mechanics own 4AGZE powered vehicles of their own.

Besides that fact, a good mechanic should be able to troubleshoot any problems with a vehicle, whether its supercharged or not.

hard to find but behind the charger at the bottom there should be a yellow wingnut. i find it easiest to come from the passenger side btw.

you need 150ml of supercharger oil from toyota. they only sell it in 50ml tubs so obviouly you will need 3 if its empty.

toyota is the only place to get the oil, its usually 10-15 dollars a pot depending on were you go.

and they take 130ml, sold in 50ml tins
