gotta pit crew for a mate (#13K)
He normally runs at Stratford, but is driving for Kihkihi

should be a good night

then the SuperStock Teams Champs is in Palmy during Waitangi Weekend which we will also be attending, and consuming copious amounts of alcomohole at on and around turn 3, plus in the car park for a couple of hours prior to each days racing, and then some more in various locations around Palmy afterwards

our place is 2 minutes from the speedway so i think they are gonna crash here. everyone should definately make an effort to get there, its gonna be a good nights entertainment.
could possibly arrange something at ours for a few beers and BBQ and whatnot.i think the dogs ate the hose from the gas bottle to the bbq though :lol:

do they still let you drink at palmy speedway? Te Marua is a family speedway nowadays :cry:

should have a red zone like wgtn sevens :lol:

just got back from Stratfords racing tonight.

apparently im getting picked up sometime 8-830am, then we're off to get everything ready - car is on the trailer ready to go, and we just have to load up the pajero with all the tools etc.
planning on leaving around 10am, and i think L8dog wants to stop in at Palmy to pick some of his sh!t up on the way down.

we are basically on cruise mode, so may get tempted to stay longer *hint hint*
racing Sat and Sun evenings, and the rest of the time is just whatever!

Staying at J+S's at least the Sat night, and as above we could get tempted to shimmy where-ever basically.

Palmy speedway is not BYO booze, but they sell it there (at least for teams champs at Waitangi weekend anyways)
and i have just heard a rumour that the Palmy City Council might not be renewing the Palmy Stockcar Clubs lease/agreement or whatever it is, meaning no more Palmy Speedway after the current thingee runs out!

was a good weekend of racing and getting sunburnt, coupled with catching up with everyone.

for those that are interested, Craigs car sucks - it did 2 laps on the first race to then sh!t itself. the Kihikihi team didnt get anywhere, neither did Stratford. in the consolation race on night 2, Craigs car managed another one lap... awesome....

Winner of the night was the Wellington Young Guns who put up a good show in the final round to beat the Palmy Poofters (Pumas, whatever, same thing).

palmy got owned in the final, thats all i cared about :lol:

was a couple of good races where whole teams were wiped out too.

Yeah, and then the results got reversed because they were deemed to have completed illegal moves.

I still think it was utter stupidity to let that saloon rejoin the race with 3/4 of it's side panel hanging off.

a lot of teams were attacking from the inside as they came back on, i think 2 decisions got reversed for that. ah well serves them right, was only the plate final and 3/4 runoff anyway.

we should plan a trip up to palmy in feb for the super teams champs

i know i'll be heading up.
