www.photoworks.co.nz Autocross Challenge, Final Round!
November 15th

Mostly this is the same as the previous events ... turn up with helmet, overalls, $30 etc.
1) Documentation and Scrutineering is starting at 8am this time, an hour earlier than the first two rounds which were a later start.

2) Spectator cars will be charged $5 per car (note: not officials cars, or tow cars for competitors). The reason for this is that the venue owner gets charged road tax per car using the road, and there's a car counter on the road.

At the venue, spectator cars park to the left, competitor cars park to the right.

3) We will send cars through to the track from the doco/scrutineering car park in smaller groups as soon as we get half a dozen cars scrutineered, lined up, and ready to go in. This means that people can drive in, get parked up, unloaded, and start lining up in numerical order much earlier. Rather than the mass 50 car convoy like we have done previously.

4) We're running the donations BBQ again, so bring some coins. If you want to bring food to get chucked on the BBQ, Chef Adam reckons he is up to burning anything you can fit on the bbq. We will have the usual sausage and bread supplied.

Please note, you will need to convoy *in*, but due to the wonders of the automatic exit gate you or spectators may *leave* the venue at any time during the day. This means if you turn up after about 8:45 you're going to have to phone one of the organisers to let you in! Numbers below.

The entry fee is $30 per driver

You will need to bring helmet, and overalls (100% cotton, or race, but not polycotton!).

Please do not bring slicks, or bald tyres.

Have a look at the Scrutineering Schedule on the event webpage in Harbour Capital Car Club
The regs are there too.

gonna make this one! here's hoping my tactic of entering the 1st round in a auto 4cyl bmw and the last round in a manual, stripped mx5 will pay off for getting me the 'most improved' award

Prizegiving Breakfast, 21 November (the Saturday following the final round) at 8am
Lemon Squeeze Café in Petone. 145 Jackson Street.
http://www.menumania.co.nz/restaurants/ ... queeze-café

They do a mean coffee (they actually have a size of coffee called a BUCKET!) and an excellent selection of breakfast type foods.
Please let me know if you are keen to attend prizegiving, so I know if we’re going to overwhelm the café with our awesomeness.
leoncast@xtra.co.nz or 027 6996 838

Chelles the event sponsor will be handing out the trophies for Winner, Most Improved, and for one of our great helpers from the season.

I got to ask why so early ? , it's a Saturday and no actual racing is involved (maybe coffee sculling ? 8O  ).
I'll have to set the loud buzzy thing that goes off 5 days a week already  , I vote for a civilized time like 10am 8)

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

That would be cool, was trying to figure out where abouts he was from the photo's, Nathan someone or the other isn't it. Is it actually Levin based, i have seen it in town before but always assumed he was just taking his toy for a drive from somewhere else.
