Toolshare NZ

Postby Psycho_Dad » Sat Jun 02, 2012 11:15 am

hey guys,

last year i realized i had a lot of power tools and hand tools that were not being used as often as they should be, so to combat this i started a tool library called toolshare nz on facebook.

basically you post what you need, the group work out if they have it and if they do they lend it for 3-5 days depending on if its during a week or weekend

it would be cool if you guys rather than going and buying tools used mine, and vice versa,

of course its a you break it you buy it policy, im learning that strangers seem to look after my tools better than friends lol

http://www.facebook.com/pages/ToolShare ... 0719179179

hope you guys are cool with this idea, in the car area i have axle stands, 1/2" king tony socket set, gear wrench flexi head ratchet spanners(10,12,14,17mm), harmonic balancer gear puller, claw type gear puller etc etc

when you return the tools there's a voluntary koha donation

Peace

I like the concept!

You are very trusting letting strangers use your tools, I couldn't do it myself.

hmm yeah i used to have the same feeling about my tools, but my current "mantras" are
i never tire of being useful
the things you own end up owning you
you have to become the change you want to see in the world
there is nothing more rewarding than helping others and expecting nothing in return

feel "free" to come borrow tools from me, strangers have been terribly generous to me in the past(helping with break downs, returning my wallet countless times etc) it feels like the least i can do.....

and thanks for liking a concept );-P
on a side note im a part of a solutions think wellington who meet once a week at tepapa to talk about problems we have that we can solve, brain storming projects and stuff, if any of you are interested.. alot of sustainability projects etc
