Wanting to get prices to polish then clear coat my cam covers. Anyone got sujestions on whos good/cheap?

Did my 1JZ cam covers. Took about 5-6 hours each cover.
I didn't bother with clear coat as heaps of people said that they would "yellow" over time.

There is a place in Seaview, they do Chrome plating, I do believe they polish Aluminium. Not sure of cost.

Sandpaper + elbow grease, then a $15 supercheap polishing kit.

then you can try the POR glisten PC stuff and let me know how that goes before I buy it to do my rims

Yeah,

Fine wet and dry does a really good job, use a block on flat surfaces and keep the paper wet. Finish off with a light abrasive paste like autosol then buff with a soft cloth.

The trick is to get the surface as close to a mirror flat surface as possible, rc covers are pretty flat to start with so your half way there and dont need to start with a course paper.

I had my stuff polished at Zinc and Chrome in seaview as JZcrazy mentioned.

Came out very good and was pretty cheap, I had all manifold piping, intake manifold and cam covers done for about $150 if i remember right.
