Postby XSVWGN » Wed Sep 03, 2014 7:19 pm

Hey team,

I have stripped apart a pair of my Volk racing 3 piece wheels as the centres need repainting/ coating. Who do people reccommend in wellington and what do you guys thing it would cost? It's just two 14inch centres

i am in the same boat i have 4 2-piece volks that need painting already dismantled

assuming they are stripped to the standards required i have been quoted $40 per center from a kapiti based powder coater ( wire displays )

my issue is finding anyone that can do plastic bead blasting as sandblasting will destroy the surface of any alloys

I'm going to go to steam and sand in Porirua tomorrow and ask them about getting the centres done and see what they are worth.

This , Bert is great , sadly since he got a new one, his drag rail isn't there any more , you won't get a better deal on powder coating.
