Radio controlled car clubs

Postby FST4RD » Thu Oct 05, 2006 5:30 pm

Does anyone know or belong to the radio controlled car club out by the airport, think it's on sawyers arms road???
I'm wanting to go out for a nosey but the guys at acorn didn't know much about it.
just want to know when and where they meet??

Plus i heard that the rc club at ruapuna only races 1/8th scale where as the one at the airport races both 1/8 and 1/10th??? am i correct in this??

i race at ruapuna, i have 3 cars. 2 electric 10th scale. and a 5th that i never use.
there is also a novice gas(almost anything goes) 10th 4wd gas, 10th 2wd gas, and the fast suckers the 8th 4wd gas.
the first and most even class by far would have to be stock. its racing using any 10th scale onroad car with the stock silver tin can motors.
if your keen on a looking come out on labour weekend. there will be 2 days of racing(sat & sun, mon it rained out) as its our south island champs.
or every month we race on the 2nd sunday.
if you have a stock car(as alot of people do sitting in the shelf) come along at about 930 on a club day sunday and give racing a go. first day is free.
most people are very helpful(depending on how hungover we are) with all car setups questions and problems you have.
hell that was a bit if a free plug for the club but its all in good fun.

if your going to come for a look or race you have to come in the speedway main entrence(not down the gravel road)

its that easy
How you like them apples??
