From 17-02-2007, all cars without a logbook will be required to pay a $5 scrutineering fee per event. A logbook can be

really short day for me, loom melted together hope ecu is OK. that's racing i guess got five weeks to fix it.

Where aboiut did the loom melt?
Engine bay loom or dash loom?
Unusual for a toyota.

all in engine bay and all my own fault, i was not expecting so much heat from exhaust manifold and turbo, which effected dli unit thing and ignition on fire wall, and also where i moved the alternator to other side of motor i forgot to tie in loose wires, so when it came on boost the crank pulley friction bunt them and shorted out. looks like i win the dumb ass of the year award

Heads up before Kender posts the details for the next Speed Event late March - will confirm tomorrow for sure, but we should be running transponders on all cars using the tracks Timing Computer at that event.

Since I'm probably the only one whos going to be there whos learnt how to run it (it runs using multiple PCs on DOS and Win95.. I'm not kidding) I would appreciate early entry so I can enter the details in the system to save time in the morning.

Basically the point is so those who don't run at Club Days etc can get a recorded flying lap time on the GP circuit and the rest of them so you can finally tell people what you do the Full circuit in without having to enter a Club or major race day.

Logan is Clerk of Course with Nate assisting, so they will be hell busy anyway, I'm also assisting but only with the timing so any early notice of entry to me would be appreciated. If you weren't able to pre-enter at the February event, if you could either PM or e-mail me on djkahlua@xtra.co.nz with your full name, full Car details (Make & Model) and Class (ie 1,2 3 etc) would be appreciated. All other details can be filled out on the day. I'll post this blurb again when Kender makes the next Speed event thread. (or he can just copy and paste)

And big sorry for dragging up an old thread, but transponders are confirmed for the March event.

Transponder allocation and fitting should take f*&k all time, but do us (well me.. ) a favour and turn up a bit early.

End Results will still be done by stopwatch as normal, but if it proves quick and painless we might run it again in the future. If you have any questions regarding fitting them, feel free to PM me and ask in advance, its really childsplay though so ain't hard. (Although you wouldn't believe how many drivers during the V8s and Scope needed someone to do it for them.. basically if you can tape a number to your window, you can install one of these...)
