Goings on around North Canterbury tonight

Just drove home from Timaru tonight, I live up Tram Road and as I was driving up I came across a convoy of hundreds of modified cars coming the other way (towards CHCH from oxford)
Just curious as to what's been going on? Not often you see that many cars up Tram road at that time of night

Pass on that one, haven't heard of anything happening over that way but no doubt it'd be some last minute organised "cruise" for some purpose/

yeah, noticed in the local rag today that the police cleared 30 cars away from there earlier in the month for doing burnouts, perhaps its the new spot now that they clamped down at mcleans island.

yeah they do do the skids out there for last couple months, a while ago was almost AT oxford
