mechanic recommendations

Gotta get my clutch replaced, have the new clutch. any one recommend a mechanic that they have used before and trust? Prefer on the north west side of town burnside/ilam/avonhead/fendalton/harewood/bishopdale and whatnot

0800 car tune,

used a fair bit in the past, they can come to you also, or have a workshop in town by repco southcity

Matipo Garage, down to the left of Bunnings. Family have been taking there cars there for years, always done a good job of my cars too.

Well, fairly average, costs around $400 - $450 for an average clutch change, with gear oil change, flywheel skim, labour etc. If you've already got the part I'd say it'd be considerably cheaper. That, and you can arrange to pay it off, like I used to!

Conversely, if you decide to have a nudge at it yourself, I'd lend a hand. I used to have to do my clutches monthly! Stupid factory Honda clutches.. The only con with DIY, is that most don't tend to skim the flywheel, which can make it judder until it wears in..

Just got first quote, 380 or so for clutch change including flywheel maching (have my own new clutch to go in) Overcharging? or seem like a good price?
