Need a favour/help. *on the bludge*

Postby Elmo » Sat Aug 12, 2006 6:59 pm

I picked up a freeby car today that we will hopefully be using as a runner, but, the battery in it is TOTALLY knackered. Wont even start with a jump start unless battery has, well, er been charging for ages also. but when going, runs well!!

So what Im after is,

does anyone have one of the tall, jap style batteries with pencil posts that they have replaced out of there own car, that still has some sort of life in it?

Reason being, we need something to use untill we can get a wof for it, or atleast try and get one. Dont want to have to buy one, then find out its uneconomical to put on the road.

Cheers

Ken

What are the dimensions? I got one I replaced at the start of winter - still had a bit of life . . . don't know if it is the same size though

I havent got te dimensions, but its the taller narrow battery, but basically any battery with pencil posts will do. Its just to make sure we can run it and get a wof etc. Then It will be replaced with a new one.
