This might be a stupid question but just out of interest why do all panels have to be painted in an even coat of finishing paint?

The car club is trying to pomote a positive image of race cars and their drivers, so they want every car to presented in a finished state. Imagine a spectator turning up to watch their first event, and every car has replacement panels in different colours - including primer grey. It'd look like a bunch of louts out in their Waimak cars.

it is also a requirement under sch.A for race and rallies, so why not enforce it at grassroots as well.
if i was sponsoring an event like this, i wouldn't want my name associated with 'Waimak Racers'
I've been a bad bad boy. I should read the rules and behave before I get spanked by an admin
