Hamilton Car club are running a Tarmac bent sprint.

$150 entry fee for a 3.4km tarmac sprint, you gotta be shitting me. we dont even charge that much for a 7km tarmac rallysprint that you get 6 runs at.

As you must have some input into the running of your events you will be fully aware of the costs now from councils with road closure applications and advertising of these, paramedics , motorsport levies, equipment hire and traffic management.
If you have any suggestions on how to make this more cost effective then please let us know.
The costs are per event , not based on the length of road , maybe our 9km hillclimb in March maybe more suited to your budget ?

I'm VP of Motorsport Bay of Plenty, and know all the costs involved in running an event.

how much are you paying for road closure?
have you shopped around for other paramedics prices?
how many competitors do you bank on to brake even?

I look at doing an event and way up costs involved for towing to and from + entry fee vs seat time/km
