Yeah I've seen it. Did you convert it to turbo or was it turbo from the factory? I saw it has drums on the back, and solid tiny discs up front, and being 5 door I didn't think they came with the turbo engine from factory.

lol yikes scary ... so people have been checking out my car in that much detail?

yeah the car came factory with turbo ... not many of them around nowadays ... especially the 5 door models ... interesting having both drums and discs on the car ... the drums are good because I can lock them up easily when I feel the urge to do a few handbrake skids in the gate10 carpark on a wet/empty morning :P

oh hehe if you're atleast a 2nd year uni student then you might've seen my galant parked in the carpark also ... it was metallic dark grey/black with a metallic blue underside/bodykit ... sticker "Powered By God" on the back ... beautiful car to drive ... comfort central ... but too many gadjets and gizmos crapping out all the time ... when one of the airbags in the suspension blew I lost patience with it and sold it to buy the starlet!

Oh ahah! yep I remember that car. I too have an Galant the same shape, except mine's NZ-new style 1.8L carby and is a little tired with 400,000kms on it. Mine has no gadgets on it to break :D

How much did you sell yours for in the end? I saw you advertised it for $3500 and thought you were dreaming ;)

haha yeah the paint job was mint though ... and it had all new headunit and speakers etc ...

Ended up selling it for $2950 which wasnt too bad I reckon ... just wanted to get rid of it before something else crapped out and I had to be carless for a week while it was in for repairs again ... students with burgerking jobs aren't the most wealthy people either :(

yeah I was reasonably happy with that price ... especially since I had crashed it the week before and bent the chassis ... dont tell anyone ... we did a nice $100 patch up job and the car looked pretty mint before I sold it ... sucker hahahaha :P

nah car was manual ... 150,000kms so it wasnt going too bad ... I bought it for slightly less than I sold it for so I was quite happy with the price after the damage i'd done to it ;)

spent thousands on little niggly repairs though grr

Oh true. I haven't had much go wrong with mine. I've replaced things like the gearbox (because it was just a little notchy and noisey after 370,000kms), head gasket, fuel pump, brake pads, brake lines etc.

The engine has taken a good 80,000kms worth of thrashing from me and only now is it just showing signs of wear.
