Dyno Day - any one interested? I really wanna run my ST185

Postby Kevorkian » Wed Jul 27, 2005 10:11 pm

Hey, hopefully a few more people are interested in another dyno day. I'm not too sure how many people turned out for the last one which I assume was on the 23rd of July.

But I would love to meet some fellow gt-four drivers and just some general all round car lovers :D

I am pretty keen to find out how many KW my car is putting out because I think the engine is getting a bit old and I would like to start doing somework to improve it, but how much I improve the car will really only show well if I find out what it's doing before any improvements.

Somebody on another thread mentioned that the gt-four with the interwarmer (top mount intercooler) won't go too well on the dyno.. can anybody confirm this, or do the boffins at the dyno centre have ways of counterating this? Say a gigantic high speed fan that could be angled downwards and maybe I run the dyno with the hood up or something?

I dunno, just gimme some suggestions guys, I know thats what you're all good at :)

Well we'll need a few more people to show interest first, and then once we have numbers I can do some ringing around and see who can give us the best deal (unless somebody already knows a good place to go).
