Hamilton members needing diagnostics

Postby chrisarmo86 » Fri Oct 16, 2009 7:42 pm

I just received my copy of PCMScan today. If anyone in the hamilton area wants to do some diagnostics, pm me. I am available weekends.
The program can do:
Dyno Graphs
Engine sensor diagnostics
OBD-II diagnostics
Fault codes
o2 sensor testing
etc etc etc

Google PCMScan if you want to know more about what it can do

Cheers!
My engine wants to be a 3SGTE when it grows up

The later ones (>'96) have the plug but a lot of the cheaper interfaces don't support the protocol that Toyota used.

The good news is that for most diagnostics you don't need a scanner, they still support the OBD-1 flashing Check engine light.

Also I'd be very wary of claims of producing an accurate dyno plot. They are more use for comparing changes in your specific vehicle that actually producing accurate figures.
