With my diminutive knowledge of car things, Is that an MR2 engine transplant with front mount?
Anger is seldom without argument but seldom with a good one.

that'll be because it doesn't spool until he's over the line.

Looks like the stock turbo to me...

Would be useful for 5th gear standstills at least!

don't see any reason why spool up would be that bad, my gt4 with front mount spooled around 3,500 on and upgraded stock turbo, although I used smaller piping + intercooler than that.

Is this local? got a link to it.
I've always thought 3sgte -> ep71 would be better, I mean if you're going to do it, might aswell put it into a nice and light bodyshell

/me takes a closer look at the pic and sees that it isn't the FMIC taking up the whole front of the car...

Prob only does 12's due to excessive wheel spin..
There was one in Oz awhile ago running the same set up (could be it can't remember) not my engine of choice but all good..
Shouldn't have that much lag depending on what Turbo it has hanging off
it??

sorry people, i only image searched 3sgte on google and it came up with this, and on the websiteit said 12`s. Probably old or sumthin

anyway i just thought this was a crazy conversion, as the celica`s engine bay is allready so full and a starlet`s is so small

and just cus i was thinking of doing this conversion in my wagon

Well, from what Ive read about putting a 3SGTE into a Starlet/Cynos/Corolla2, its no walk in the park. Apparently their are quite a few issues that require alot of fabrication and some things just dont line up together. Buts ive seen roughly six other conversions been done going from E series to 3SGTE.
