is that Ruapuna? Track surface looks pretty nice - better than Meremere anyway :)

BTW if you think dragging a 10sec car with no lights is nuts, a few weeks ago Reece McGreggor was doing it at Meremere, where there's no lighting in the pitch-black runoff that he was flying into at 260kmh+ (nutter)

also, it sounds like you have a commentator there that's about as annoying as the idiots at Meremere.

 The two commentators are actually really funny. They just happen to be Ako and SnoozinEuro.

Yes its Ruapuna, its not a bad track but it could be better ;) Why do you think the fastest TS cars are in the SI :P

maybe the snippets heard on the recordings were just unfortunate examples :) (i only downloaded one video and the guy was talking about something getting sucked into a turbo...?)

The commentators here sound like drunk old men, they just talk for the sake of talking, and don't say anything worthwhile.

Also, does anyone else think it looks like that drag strip is in someone's back yard or something? Oh and I figured the fast cars had something to do with the sheep down there getting too fast to chase on foot? Hmm might just be a rumor...

Nah we have to make do with the Main straight of Ruapuna Powerbuilt Raceway. One day we might have our own dragstrip

Haha oi you read out the time in the first vid fool (oh and the "in your face" remark :P:P) Trying to place the blame solely on me, sheesh..... Cool vids though, you don't get anywhere near enough idea how quick the thing is off the mark in those however.

In relation to the strip though... the run-off area (or lack of) makes me wonder exactly how they plan on stopping these supposed 450km/h jetcar dealies they're having at the next meet..... considering at one meet I raced at, the net at the end was blown over by a strong gust of wind 8O
