3SGE gen3 head

3SGE gen3 head
Whats the usual price of a complete N/A head with intake/plenium (in good condition) also is there any conflicts with putting it on a Gen2 GT4 block? Also it has raised crown pistons, if that makes any difference at all.

well it has an ACIS intake system like the Gen 2 3SGE, and I have no idea how a turbocharged set up would respond to that system

It'd probably just push the butterflies open, or blow it apart

Actually, loose_unit has an ACIS manifold on his Starl33t....seems to be fairly effective, though cant really compare it to the stock manifold.

Yea na, its non turbo, but with a gt4 block and rods, acutally one of your old blocks malcolm.
So no conflicts then?

oh yeah I thought I recognised the name!

I would definitely check with a bit of playdough to make sure you don't have any piston/valve clearance issues, the gen 3 3sge has something like 9.8mm lift on the intake, which is fairly massive so it would be worth checking.

What are you doing on the ECU side of things if you use the head? Should have a bit more poke than before :)

Haha, yes very good point the ecu. Everybody has their own ideas but i was thinking that i could just run a link plus ecu. Cheap but would hopefully make the power (200hp at the flywheel would be good). Just trying to price stuff at the moment as i have already had issues with the front inner c.v's not liking the power as it is, and plus the box dosnt seem up to much. All and all, if its gonna cost more than i think its worth, then at the end of the day its only a puss front wheel drive, and my money could be better spent else where.
I would love to make a EFI turbo diesel late model laural with round 500-600NM at the flywheel. Ive always kinda liked the idea of spinning the wheels hard at a lowly 1000rpm
