wheel offesets?

stupid question but i have no idea

would wheels with a offset of 45 fit a fwd car?

Yup, usually the higher the offset (40+) is for FWD cars, and low offsets(30-) are for RWD.

depends on the car eg. fwd celica has offset of 38 which as far as i can tell is the same as a levin, i would be a bit hesitant about buying wheels with that offset without trying them on first

and also depends if the wheel itself is, for example, a much larger and wider than factory wheel- even the suggested offset may or may not fit as the wheel's offset is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel.

This Website has some good stuff on offsets, give it a read and it should give you a better understanding

Yes, I said usually.
The Skyline came factory on 40 offset, and I put 45 on and it looks gay :lol:

ok i could do a whole heap of equations and wot not but im lazy so could any one tell me what offset, if its possible to get, would be gd for my rear end when the studs sit almost fluch with the gaurds.....

it depends on width of wheel etc etc still.
