So what tint film did you use? I've used repco tint film on mine and staces car, came out pretty good, the only problem is i find with the repco stuff is that no matter what you use it seem to show up the scratches easily, Saw super cheap autos had tint film for $19 a roll, has anyone used this stuff and is it better than the repco stuff thats $40 a roll??

yep, ive used the supercheap stuff..

it seems to be a slightly bluey colour, rather than a charcoal, and is a heck of alot thinner than the repco stuff which makes it harder to work with.... i.e. if it folds over and creases, you're f**ked

Yeah, to be honest I was quite surprised... thought it was an alcohol checkpoint at first, then saw no breathalysers... then assumed it was licence checks, so had my licence out ready, but alas no, that was all they were checking. Cop said that they only do it every now and then just to make sure illegal tints don't get out of control...

i did my mirrors my self and tinted alot of mates cars also done my starly in 5% all round with the super cheap stuff its all good just rips and folds alot easier than the private eyes shit from repco my mirror tints are 2.5% house film was mint to use and is thick as. trick is to use alot of soapy water in a spray bottle and a thin rag over the applicator or ruler to prevent the scratches. back window youve gotta use a heat gun to prevent ripples and bubbles practise makes perfect i supose and make sure youve got a really sharp blade/knife to cut tints.

first measure it and shrink it to the shape...then apply to the inside and trim it...
