Anybody know how legal it might be to darkly tint my monsoon shields. Theres 35% tint on the window itself, but I want the monsoons like 5% help keep the sun out.

Am I pushing my luck? Or would this be a grey area with regards to WOF?

theres nothing in the warrent book at work about tinting them so im guessing you can do what you like

The plastic covers that are along the top of your doors (if they're fitted). Means you can have the window a bit and rain wont get in.

I wouldnt think there'd be any restrictions on it, as it doesnt really cover much of the window.

i have seen cars come from the dealer (albeit, 80s cars) that had plated metal shields... so if they can be solid metal, im sure you can get away with tinting yours.

im sure its been covered before but what is the justification for making tints illegal?

yea may be hard to do yourself though as the curves in windows can be a big pain.tints can be measured through a gun which determines the percentage of light let through.only thing you have to watch for when tinting to a restriction is that your factory tint may be pushing whatever your adding over the limit of 35%.most japanesse cars come with over that anyway.im driving with 2.5% on my rear windows and never had any problems.

Let less sun and glare in during the day, however at night they make it harder to see out of.

And people cant see through your rear window which is another one.

allthough on some cars you cant anyway.

Most cars dont cover much, my ones cover the top 1.4 of the window....
